Our Story
Pick Up Joy is a family-owned novelty shop focused on bringing joy through slime, squishies, crafts, and fun finds. We believe in the power of tactile play and community connection.
PickUpJoy: Our Family, Our Faith, Our Joy
PickUpJoy is our family’s way of sharing joy, encouraging creativity, and putting our faith into action. We started as a doorstep return pickup service, but our children’s ideas inspired us to grow in a new direction—a novelty shop filled with playful finds, handmade creations, and things that bring a smile.
Our son experiences sensory challenges, and we’ve seen how hands-on play can bring moments of comfort and happiness. His ideas and love for slime inspired us to create Papa’s Slime Bar, where others can explore their creativity and share in the fun.
Our inspiration also reaches across generations. Our mother, Elisabet, continues to create beautiful crochet pieces while living with Alzheimer’s and body tremors. We want to shine a light on her creativity and remind our elders that their talents, ideas, and contributions still matter.
Our daughter’s love for makeup, arts, and crafts brings another spark to our shop. With our guidance and support, our children help dream up products and activities, learn about running a business, and share their creativity with our community.
Together, we’ve opened a new way for our family to share ideas, encourage one another, and bring the joy we find in creating to others. With God at the center of our family, we hope to build a business rooted in kindness, love, and purpose—where everyone feels welcome and creativity is celebrated at every age.
